Standing seam panels lock together with concealed clips, so there are no exposed fasteners to back out or leak. 5V crimp is the classic Florida look with exposed screws and a lower price, right for barns, porches and farmhouses. Both are installed over a high-temp underlayment and flashed with the same care we give a tile roof.
A metal roof installed to code is also a wind-mitigation feature that many Florida carriers reward with premium discounts. We provide the documentation for your inspection.

Panels are formed to length for your roof, so there are fewer seams and less waste.
- 03Install
Dry-in, panels, trim and ridge. Typically three to five days for a home.
- 04Inspection and documents
Final inspection plus the paperwork for your wind-mitigation report.

Is a metal roof loud when it rains?
Not on a house. Metal goes over solid decking and underlayment, and your attic insulation does the rest. It sounds about the same as shingles from inside.
Will metal lower my insurance?
Often. Many Florida carriers give wind-mitigation credits for a code-compliant metal roof. The savings depend on your carrier and your home’s other features, and we supply the documentation for the inspection.
Can metal go over my existing shingles?
Code allows it in some cases, but we almost always recommend a tear-off so the deck can be inspected and the underlayment done right. A roof is only as good as what is under it.
